1/25/2016 0 Comments Winter Storm Jonas: January 2016Woke up on Saturday morning, January 23, 2016 to this. Wasn't really surprised about getting snow but will have to say I was surprised about the amount of snow. It was definitely going to be a Netflix day. But I wanted to try to get some winter pictures so I went out with the camera and for a short time got maybe 4 pictures and returned to the house soaked. It wasn't a normal snow day for pictures for sure. The few pictures I took were so blurred from the wind and snow they weren't usable. On Sunday I tried again and had better luck with getting some pictures showing the drifts and height of the snow fall. It really was an amazing amount of snow!

I am truly grateful this Christmas Season for the assurance of all is well. Merry Christmas from our house to yours! 12/2/2014 0 Comments December 02nd, 2014Nature being a Gift from GodI will start by telling you that I love nature and decided that photography would be a way for me to be able to share my interest. When shopping for a DSLR I decided on a Nikon and quickly realized after doing so that buying a Nikon doesn't make you a photographer. It makes you a Nikon owner. The best thing about photography is that it is you and your camera and the limitations are endless. I hope that through my photography you learn to love and appreciate nature as God's gift.
11/11/2014 0 Comments Laceleaf Japanese Maple10/19/2014 0 Comments Autumn turns to WinterWhen growing up in Asheville, North Carolina, my family was never fond of autumn or winter. My Dad had his own business doing landscaping then he started his own paving company "Parkway Paving" so his work depended so much on the weather. His words "Lord willing and nothing happens" next pretty day we will finish up whatever job. My point is that spring and summer where flourishing months for anyone making a living outdoors. He did always find work in the cold weather months but it was hard on him and my three brothers to have to work out in the snow and cold. I always worried about them out at night scraping snow. They would come in wet, cold and tired. As a child I didn't like it and I think it is funny how that stays with me till this day. I am not a fall or winter person at all. I am trying to change my outlook by decorating the house with the fall decor' and also taking beautiful fall photos. I will be posting some of my fall photos soon.
