I think a photography class should be a requirement in all educational programs because it makes you see the world rather than just look at it. ~Author Unknown

The first known spoke wagon wheel which was much a lighter wagon wheel, easier to make round and to control the wobble was around 2000 BC, it was a thousand years before an iron tire would be added to the spooked wagon wheel. There has not been a lot of progress made in the making of a wagon wheel over the years. True, with power tools and equipment we can now build the parts quicker than when the parts had to be made by hand. However, we make a wagon wheel today basically the same way a wagon wheel was made 150 years ago. 8/23/2014 1 Comment Beauty of the ButterflyButterflies appear to dance has they flutter among the flowers. They remind us not to take things so seriously within our lives. They awaken a sense of lightness and joy. They remind us to get up and move, for if you do not move, you cannot dance. Butterflies bring color and joy with them. Look at how much or little joy is in your life. Lighten up. Look for change. Make changes when the opportunities present themselves. The butterfly will teach you that growth and change do not have to be traumatic. Change can occur as gently and as joyfully as one wish 8/19/2014 1 Comment Emma, my furry friendLabradors are easy to train and they are very social. They like people and other animals. Labs are happy to hang out with you and do whatever you are doing. They love to play! Spending as much time as you can with your Labrador will make him the happiest dog on earth. A Lab can truly be your best friend. 8/13/2014 0 Comments Flower of the Week ~ Sunflower7/26/2014 2 Comments Hydrangea, Did you know?7/21/2014 1 Comment ConeflowerPurple Coneflower: strength and health The flower meaning here is probably the most fitting of all. Purple coneflower is another name for echinacea, a plant with significant medicinal properties. It is believed to be an immune system stimulator and to ward off infections. The flower itself has a large, circular head with long, thin petals drooping off the sides. Both the herb and the root are used in healing products. Thus, giving a friend a purple coneflower is literally saying you want them to be well. 7/13/2014 0 Comments Yellow Lily and what it SymbolizesSharing with you one of my favorite flowers. Yellow Lily symbolizes gaiety ~ the state or quality of being lighthearted or cheerful. So as you enjoy the nature and beauty of all flowers look up the meaning. This will help you understand where the beauty comes from. As I post flower photo's I will add the meaning and hope that is of interest to you. Have a blessed day! 7/9/2014 2 Comments Flower PhotographyMy photography is of nature and flowers; I also enjoy old barns and landscapes. That is a lot of what you will see and hear about on my blog. I have to say that Harold Davis is one of my favorites with photography of flowers. I have learned so much through his work and workshops. http://www.digitalfieldguide.com/blog/entries/flowers I use a Nikon 5100d in macro mode or a macro lens for photography of flowers. There are many various lenses. Note: The lenses you can use depend upon your camera brand and model. I also recommend Manual exposure and a Tripod. Photographing nature stirs my emotions, not only do I love photography but I love nature. Please share some of your nature Photography work with us here. I didn't take a backup. I was so embarrassed but will have to say I learned a valuable lesson. Check out the 20 Funny Photography Bloopers And Outtakes. I enjoyed it and hope you will.
