3/17/2018 0 Comments Photography GoalsPhotography Goals: Photography is my form of self expression. I want to be able to use it as a tool to help me learn more about myself and inspire others. Photography also allows me to tell stories of places I've been and things I've done. Photography grants me the rare gift of being able to capture a moment in time. It allows me to capture my own personal world perspective that others will be able to look at decades down the line and say "wow, that's how it looked back then".

Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, which has 19th-century buildings, a Civil War Museum and John Brown’s Fort, a key site in an 1859 abolitionist raid. The Potomac and Shenandoah rivers meet, known as The Point, offers views of Maryland and Virginia. The easiest way to explain is with an example. If it’s a sunny day, your aperture is set to F/16 and ISO set to 200, to correctly expose your image the shutter speed needs to be set to 1/200 (the inverse of the ISO number). ISO speed is your camera’s sensitivity to light. A bigger ISO speed means a larger sensitivity. If your camera is more sensitive to light, it takes less light to take a picture bright. Most cameras start out at an ISO speed of 100, and some models go as high as ISO 1600. That’s 16 times more sensitive than the default, meaning you’d need to expose the camera to 16 times less light to get the same picture.
Another example. Let’s say it’s a sunny day, and your camera is set to ISO 400. According to the sunny 16 rule, if you use an aperture of F/16 and a shutter speed of 1/400 s, you will have an evenly balanced image that is neither too bright nor too dark. The rule works great when it's sunny. 5/1/2017 0 Comments May 01st, 2017"A lovely reminder of how beautiful change can be." Sharing some old~time elegance, this is one variety of the dwarf lilac. Wanted to tell you some things to think about when photographing flowers.
Sharp focus is important in all forms of photography but in flower Macro photography it is crucial and even a tiny adjustment can have massive implications for your shot as the depth of field is so small. Identify the point of interest that you want to be in focus and then work hard to ensure that it’s as sharp as possible. This can be a real challenge, especially outdoors on breezy days where you’ll probably end up taking a lot of images and relying on luck to some degree! You can improve your ‘luck’ a little by photographing in a more controlled environment like shielding them from wind or just choosing to do your photography on a still day. Happy spring shooting. 12/3/2016 0 Comments B and R Christmas Event“Christmas waves a magic wand over this home, and behold, everything is decorated and beautiful.” Our neighbor friends have the most amazing Christmas gathering for family and friends and I was blessed to take photos of this beautiful home and decor'.

MARKETING TEMPLATES~ When I photograph an old barn I can't help but think ~ the memories the barn holds. How many conversations did the family have in that barn? How many tears were shed over a horse or calf that didn’t make it? How much laughter has that barn listened to over the years? If this barn could talk, it would undoubtedly tell many stories.
